Dr. Nikol Hamilton is a doctoral-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner, educator, and forensic-informed clinician specializing in integrative psychiatry, trauma recovery, and professional reinvention for high-achieving women. With more than two decades of clinical experience across psychiatric care, maternal mental health, legal nurse consulting, and nursing education, she brings a unique lens that integrates neuroscience, systems understanding, and the lived realities of women navigating burnout, grief, betrayal, moral injury, and identity transition.

Clinical Focus & Philosophy

Through Nourish Psychiatry, Dr. Nikol provides integrative psychiatric consultation and medication management for women in Arkansas, alongside nationwide consultation services through Justice Rx. Her work is grounded in the belief that many high-functioning women are not simply “symptom-based cases,” but individuals experiencing profound nervous system exhaustion, emotional depletion, and identity disruption due to prolonged caregiving, workplace pressure, relational trauma, and systemic stress. Her approach integrates psychiatric care with emotional restoration, stabilization, and strategic reinvention support—helping women not only recover, but rebuild.

Justice Rx & Forensic-Informed Work

Dr. Nikol also provides forensic-informed consultation and mediation support through her Justice Rx program, assisting women navigating healthcare-related harm, workplace conflict, professional complaints, interpersonal violence, and complex medical-legal experiences. This work bridges psychiatric insight with legal nurse consulting principles to support clarity, documentation awareness, emotional stabilization, and empowered decision-making during high-stress life events.

Equine & Experiential Healing

Her equine-assisted therapy program, T.R.E.A.T. (True Revelation Equine Assisted Therapy), offers experiential, nature-based, and trauma-informed healing opportunities designed to support nervous system regulation, emotional reconnection, and resilience building. These services reflect her belief that healing is not only clinical—it is embodied, relational, and restorative.

Academic & Professional Leadership

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Nikol serves as online nursing faculty and remains active in nursing education, professional development, and healthcare leadership initiatives. Her work also includes advocacy for nurse representation in executive and board-level decision-making and the advancement of rural and digital healthcare innovation. She enjoys teaching LIVE review prep courses for nurses and travels across the country for speaking invitations on organizational health. She is a recipient of multiple national recognitions, including being named a White House Champion for Change nominee and serving as a U.S. Call on Congress Ambassador for colorectal cancer prevention initiatives.

Personal Life & Values

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Nikol is grounded in equine life, faith, and rural Texas living. She values resilience, spiritual depth, and the restoration of simplicity and meaning following seasons of loss, growth, and reinvention. Her personal interests include horses, Western heritage, genealogy, fitness, faith study, and cultivating spaces of peace and beauty through land and flowers. She is also drawn to water and enjoys snow skiing and dancing as part of her appreciation for movement, nature, and restoration.
